While browsing the wedding web I came across this cute calligraphy company called Pen & Ink owned by self-taught calligrapher, Lisa Ridgley.
When I was in grade school I would always right "I will not talk in class" 100 times for no reason all because I wanted to have great handwriting! I was an only child, so we tend to give ourselves unnecessary work to do :) Unfortunately, I never mastered having great handwriting, but I continue to write unnecessary things in hopes of developing great penmanship...I'm still hoping...
Lisa's handwriting is beautiful and fun! I sweetly admire the straight lines and the curls on the letters. She does amazing work! Too bad she doesn't live in Los Angeles or I would be begging her to school me on calligraphy writing! Check out her website, it's darling and the prices are reasonable!

p.s. Did I mention she's self-taught?!!!

So Green so SUCCULENT.
I started running the Santa Monica wooden stairs on Sunday afternoon with one of my best friends and it's great! I'll admit when I first attempted the stairs I kept asking myself why was I torturing my poor little legs...but I've grown to love it and since it's off season for soccer now (yes, I play soccer) I needed to keep myself in shape some other way!
The stairs is set in the middle of a residential area and my golly everyone has an amazing garden with beautiful flowers! One garden that stands out is one filled with HUGE (I'm serious on the huge) succulent plants! Every time I pass it I slow down my (walking) pace because they're amazing! I always thought succulent plants would be perfect in a bridal bouquet as well as the bridesmaid's bouquets and throughout the ceremony & reception during the mid months of spring! Add gardenias and other flowers with shades of green and cremes (like the one below) it gives the whole wedding a very crisp feeling! I can already picture the perfect invite suite for something like this...xoLPSox
p.s. I'm obsessed with the color green! Have always been!

Oh la la.
I'm really excited to announce the launch of my business. I can't reveal the name of the business just yet, but you'll know soon enough! About two years ago I started offering up my creative services to friends making invitations for weddings, baby showers, bridal showers, etc. and I love it. It makes me happy! I've decided I might as well get a move on it and put myself out there and dive in and swim! My services will be geared towards making couture/custom invitations and stationary as well as providing one-on-one creative consulting for invitations. I can't express how exciting this is for me. I haven't done much for myself in a while and although this is going to be a challenge, it's also going to be exciting! I'm so blessed to have friends and family back me up and support me in this endeavor!
Putting the news out there that I'm doing this will be a constant reminder that I need to hit the pavements every single day (also because I'm always up for a challenge.) You can hang with me and be my cheerleader if you'd like!

I wanted to share with you what my GLAMOUR MAGAZINE horoscope said today:
"Your career ideas are simmering, and if you are looking to achieve any big points with an authority figure, you can do it today with ease. With cold logic (softened by a warm smile), you can run circles around any competitors. You'll not only charm them into submission, you will inspire them to become one of your biggest fans! All eyes are on you, and you are not going to disappoint. As long as you stay confident and prepare a clear communication plan, you will soar."
